Membership Information
We offer several different types of memberships designed to suit your needs. Below you will find descriptions of each membership.
Certificate Holder Our certificate holder membership allows you have full golfing privileges all year round, as long as weather permits. This class does not pay green fees. Certificate holders must purchase a bond, which represents their ownership interest in the club.
Family Membership This class is designed for married couples who both wish to be golfing members. Either the husband or wife can be the Certificate Holder (see above); the other is a Limited Tee Member. The couple chooses who they want to be the certificate holder and who they want to be the limited tee member. A limited tee member has unlimited play with no greens fees. Limited Tee members may not play before 1:00PM on weekends and holidays.
Intermediate "B" Membership Our Intermediate "B" Membership offers new members the opportunity to pay their initiation fee and bond fee over time. As an intermediate "B" member you have full golfing privileges all year round, as long as weather permits. This class does not pay green fees. Members in this class have all the same privileges as full members except they cannot bring guests before 12:00 pm on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays and can only bring one guest on Fridays.
Intermediate "C" Membership This membership allows new member who are under 35 to spread their initiation and bond fee until they turn 35. The initiation and bond will be spread evenly per year from current age until the member turns 35. As an intermediate "C" member you have full golfing privileges all year round, as long as weather permits. This class does not pay greens fees. Members in this class have all the same privileges as full members except they cannot bring guests before 12:00 pm on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays and can only bring one guest on Fridays.
House Membership This class has limited play during the golf season.
House members you get 12 points
to play with during the golf
season. If you play 18 holes
on a weekday it counts as one point. If you
play 9 holes on a weekday it counts as 1/2
point. If you play 18 holes on the weekend
it counts as 2 points. If you play 9 holes
on the weekend it counts as 1 point. You
may use your points in any combination you
wish. The golf season runs from April 1st
to October 31st. During the off-season house
members may play an unlimited number of rounds.
House members pay green fees every-time they
play. House members may play at any time
except before 2:00pm on Fridays, Saturdays,
Sundays, & Holidays.
Social Membership Merchantville Country Club offers social memberships for those who would like to use the facilities at the club but do not wish to play golf. These members have full use of the clubhouse.
College Membership This class is open to the children of certificate holders, family members, or intermediate members who are between the ages of 18 and 22 and enrolled in college. This class has unlimited play with no greens fees. College members can play any day and time except before noon on Tuesdays or when tournaments may have the course closed to general play.
Junior Membership This class is open to the children of certificate holders, family members or intermediate members who are between the ages of 12 and 18. This class has unlimited play except before 2:00pm on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays before 2:00PM when they cannot play at all. This class pays no greens fees.
In order to become a member of Merchantville Country Club two members must sponsor you. All members receive voting privileges. Only bondholders receive an ownership interest in the club.
